Europe: Newquay, UK - Rip Curl GromSearch presented by Posca
What a weekend! In true British style, we lucked in on waves & the sun shone (this is true for 70% of the weekend, British fashion may be the rain/wind & dribble summer slop we had for the other 30% but who cares, we had a blast!).
The British leg of the World Wide 2014 Rip Curl Grom Search presented by Posca came to an end yesterday afternoon as the largest ever Grom Search event held in the UK went off in 2-3ft conditions at Watergate Bay.
Massive congratulations to Will Bailey/Eno James (U16 Boys) & Niamh Mathias/Meg Niblett (U16 Girls), who earned the highest combined rankings over the 2 GromSearch events this year, thus earning themselves the top prize of the entry and trips to the European Rip Curl Grom Search finals later this year where they will represent the UK. |
