RRD is proud to release a completely re-designed control bar that takes all the great features of simplicity and reliability of the previous versions into account and goes a step forward with new components and redesigned parts.
This is version 7 of a great bar with a great history of performance. We have taken out any unnecessary items instead of adding them, to make every component more functional. Simply said :”you cannot break what does not exist”.
We have the following new features on the Global bar V7:
- A moulded chicken loop finger that has a multiple pre-set position rotor head which allows you to move the finger to any desired position, so it’s easy to move it out of the way for example for riders that like to un-hook.
- Our de-power rope is extended, to increase the depower ability. A longer de-power will not only help with increasing the range of your kite, It will also give you more maneuver margin when you are riding waves or when you have long arms. It is made of high quality indestructible polyurethane, which makes the bar slide easy and you will never have to replace it.
- The length of the de-power rope can be adjusted with the new de-power stopper EVA float.
By simply pushing up- or down the EVA float you can trim the de-power rope length according to the length of your arms or depending on the conditions you are kiting in.
This stopperball is a handy feature for example for people with shorter arms or for specific tricks like the dead-man. It also makes the kite more stable in light wind, which is useful for schools.
In case you are sure you won’t need this feature, you can simply cut the EVA float off.
You have the option to use the new Velcro loop on the de-powercord to prevent the cord from flapping around when you have fully de-powered the kite.
Our new one-line safety system makes the kite de-power 100% in case you need it... and the front line separator allows you to get the lines back into position once you want to re-activate the bar.
We reduced the diameter of the bar tube for even more grip.
We obviously still deliver you the bar with the exclusive RRD Rigid thread lines... made with using the most recent fibers and an innovative production process, which make the lines easier to untwist, but most importantly: they don’t stretch!
